A WORD ABOUT US
The Baakoye Foundation was founded on the premise that everyone can achieve anything if they have access to education. In many parts of globe (i.e. low to middle income countries) most people live in or near the poverty line as define by the World Health Organization. Because of poverty many people and children have limited access to libraries and other education materials and health care. Baakoye Foundation aims to address these issues by intervening where and when appropriate; working with local communities as partners, we promote local decision making to find local solutions to local problems. Baakoye Foundation also partners with other NGOs and communities to support community-generate grassroots efforts that addresses the needs of the community. Some of these activities include increasing access to educational materials and health care resources. We envision a world in which people in Ghana and sub-Sharan Africa will be able to have access to books, other education material, health care resources locally by empowering these communities so everyone can grow happy and healthy.

OUR VISION
The Baakoye Foundation was inspired by the Vision of Mary Doku Peprah a dynamic and generous woman who supported grassroots efforts in Ghana. Her dream was to establish libraries, health resources, and other activities in Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa.
